Who we are

•The lodge was formed in 1925, but we are a modern and forward thinking Lodge, that strive for the highest standards, not at the expense of any fun and enjoyment

•Because we meet on a Friday evening we are able to socialise before and after the meeting which makes for a great end to the week. This also provides opportunity to actively encourage and support all members, and build friendships.

•We strive for the highest standards of work, but know everyone has different skills, however we are united by having fun and a few laughs.

Meetings

•We meet 9 times a year; on the 1st Friday of the months from Oct till June.

•We generally start our meetings at 6PM, and finish dining at 10PM, early enough for those that like an early night, but with time available for those that want to socialise.

•We hold or meeting at the lovely and impressive Freemasons Hall, on Knole Rd, in Bournemouth.

•At our meetings we are expected to wear dark lounge suits and white shirts.

Lodge History

•Aethelberht lodge was founded in 1925

•2025 is our centenary which we will celebrating.

•Aethelberht lodge is what is know as a Hall Stone Lodge. This indicates that the members of the lodge donated significant amounts to support the building of Freemasons Hall in Great Queens St, London – the headquarters of United Grand Lodge of England.
